PINEAPPLE

Recently I've developed a bit of an obsession with a certain fruit.. as you can probably see! I had a lot of fun with this one, I started with 1 Pineapple and things just escalated from there until I ended up with 8 (definitely not overkill). I used to be strictly a Photoshop girl when I was younger and starting out with this whole "creativity" thing, but the more I use Illustrator the more I love it - I feel like I'm constantly learning and that's the thought that keeps me going on those shitty days!

LONG OVERDUE

I started this blog in the hopes of having something to keep me motivated and inspired.. Then I started working full-time and somewhere along the line this poor little blog got neglected.
I'm working full-time as a Graphic Designer so while I am doing lots of design work, it's not the kind that I love doing - so I'm resurrecting this blog and giving it a bit of an updated so I have a creative outlet that isn't work related. Here's hoping I can keep it up!

IF MY LOVE WERE AN OCEAN

Today's project! Read the quote somewhere months ago and I've been wanting to do something with it since then, finally got struck with inspiration! The photo was taken by me and everything was made from scratch (modesty aside I'm pretty happy with how the anchor turned out)
I'm getting a lot more confident with Illustrator, which I'm pretty stoked about! I was always a little hesitant to use it, but the more I play around with it the more I love it.

SMELL THE ROSES

I drew a rose on my whiteboard about a year ago, finally decided to digitalise it! I have an unhealthy obsession with roses, but I guess there could definitely be worse things to be addicted to..
I'm hoping to do a set of these flower-text designs, watch this space ;)

WITH THE WIND

Had a lot of fun doing this! There's something about combining photos and vectors that I just really love, add some type and hey presto ;)
The dreamcatcher is a new little trinket I bought for my car, trying hard to not get distracted by it when I drive..
